Fund Structure
Meghan Maher
President
Meghan is a senior from Melrose, MA studying finance and pursuing the Real Estate Certificate. This is her 6th semester in the fund, previously serving as Director of the Fund and President of Real Estate Club. Last summer Meghan interned at PwC on their Financial Markets and Real Estate team, and prior to that interned at GID doing Acquisitions. Meghan recently studied abroad in Florence, Italy and loves trying new food spots and exploring new places with friends and family.
Julia McIntyre
Chairwoman
Julia is a Senior honors resource economics major from Waltham, MA. She is currently in her 4th semester of IREF where she will be serving as Chairwoman. She has also served as Secretary of the UMass Real Estate Club and Co-Director of the Real Estate Women's Initiative. This summer, Julia interned at GID, where she will be returning full-time as an Asset Management Analyst after graduation. In her free time, Julia enjoys traveling, skiing, pilates, and being with family and friends.
Eamon Hume
Portfolio Manager
Eamon is a senior from Marshfield, Massachusetts, pursuing a degree in Finance and the Real Estate Certificate. This is his sixth semester with IREF, where he currently serves as a Portfolio Manager. This past summer, Eamon was a Real Estate Summer Analyst at StepStone Group. He will be returning to StepStone Group to join the Real Estate Investments team as an Analyst. In his free time, he enjoys playing sports, skiing, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
Shayla Igoe
Director
Shayla is a Junior from Haverhill, Massachusetts studying Finance and pursuing the Real Estate Certificate. She is currently in her 4th semester in IREF where she will be serving as Director. She has also served as President of Real Estate Club and Co-Director of the Real Estate Women's Initiative. Last summer, Shayla interned at Avalon Bay on their Construction team. Next Summer, she will be interning at Wells Fargo on their Real Estate Banking Team. In her free time she enjoys traveling, coffee, music and spending time with friends and family.
Dilara Onur
Principal
Dilara is a senior from Newton, Massachusetts, pursuing a degree in Finance with a minor in Building and Construction Technology. She is currently in her fifth semester of IREF, where she serves as a Principal. She previously served as President of the Real Estate Club and was a member of the leadership team for Smart Woman Securities. Last summer, Dilara interned at Bank of America in its New York City office, and the summer prior, she interned at Marcus Partners in Boston with the Development and Acquisitions team. In her free time, Dilara enjoys traveling with family and friends, playing tennis, and listening to house music.
Emily Vaz Falcao
Principal
Emily is a senior from Holliston, MA studying finance and pursuing the real estate certification. She is in her 5th semester with IREF, where she serves as a principal. She previously held the role of Vice President of the UMass Real Estate Club. Last summer Emily interned at PwC on their Financial Markets and Real Estate team, and prior to that interned at Torrington Properties as a Real Estate Rotational Intern. Emily recently studied abroad in Florence, Italy. In her free time, she loves baking, going on walks, hanging out with family and friends and photography.
Alex Popelka
Principal
Alex is a Junior finance major from Westford, MA, pursuing a certification in real estate. This will be his fourth semester in IREF where he will serve as a Principal and the Junior Analyst Development Officer. This past summer, he interned at Samuels & Associates where he assisted the finance and accounting teams in creating efficient workflows. In his spare time, Alex enjoys skiing, hiking, and woodworking.
Desmond Simon
Principal
Desmond is a Senior managerial economics major from Concord, MA. He is currently in his fourth semester of IREF, where he serves as a Principal. He has also served as Treasurer of the UMass Real Estate Club. This summer, Desmond interned at KeyBank Real Estate Capital, where he will be returning full-time as a Portfolio Management Analyst upon graduation. In his free time, Desmond enjoys golfing, traveling, playing pickleball, and spending time with family.
Maya Lai
Principal
Maya is a senior double Finance and Hospitality & Tourism Management major, also pursuing the Isenberg Real Estate Certificate. Originally from Los Angeles, CA, she is currently in her fourth semester with IREF, where she serves as a Principal. Last summer, Maya interned at hotelAVE, furthering her interest in pursuing a career in hospitality real estate. Having recently studied abroad in Copenhagen, Maya enjoys traveling, photography, skiing, and discovering new cafes and restaurants with friends.
Marlin Hamm
Principal
Marlin is a senior from Ithaca, New York. He is pursuing a BBA in finance, the Isenberg Real Estate Certificate, and a minor in Spanish. This is his 4th semester with IREF, where he is a Principal. Marlin is interested in lending, equity capital markets, and asset management. In his free time, Marlin enjoys traveling, riding his motorcycle, practicing Spanish, and spending time with family and friends.

Owen is a senior from Burlington, VT pursuing a degree in economics and a minor in psychology. He is in his fourth semester in IREF where he will be serving as an principal. Owen is interested in acquisitions and lending within commercial real estate. In his spare time, Owen enjoys skiing, traveling, working out, soccer, and spending time with friends and family.
Landon Maxwell
Associate
Landon is a senior from Marion, Massachusetts, pursuing a degree in Finance and the Real Estate Certificate. This is his fourth semester with IREF, where he currently serves as a Principal. This past summer, Landon worked as a Commercial Real Estate Underwriting and Portfolio Management Intern at Citizens. In his free time, he enjoys sports, weightlifting, cooking, and spending time with friends and family.

Charlie is a junior finance major from West Springfield, MA. He is currently in his first third semester in IREF, where he is serving as an Associate. Charlie is interested in a career in real estate development. In his free time, he likes to cycle, run, ski, woodwork, play chess, and spend time with his friends sailing out of Perkins Cove in Ogunquit, Maine.

Cole is especially interested in commercial real estate development and sustainability. In his free time he enjoys working out, watching sports, and hanging with friends and family.

Ben is a Sophomore finance and history major from Dover, MA. This will be his second semester in the fund, where he will serve as an Analyst. Ben is interested in commercial real estate and community development. He was recently a Portfolio Management intern at GB Property Management in Boston. Outside of real estate, Ben enjoys intramural sports, working out, and quality time with friends and family.
Brooke Gatheral
Analyst
Brooke is a junior from Nashua, NH, pursuing a degree in Finance. She is currently in her second semester in IREF, where she serves as an Analyst, and is also the Treasurer of the UMass Real Estate Club and CFO of Smart Woman Securities. This past summer, Brooke interned in Finance at Ahold Delhaize USA, gaining experience in financial analysis and business operations. In her free time, she enjoys skiing, playing soccer, and spending time with her friends and family.
Bradley Kamga
Analyst
Bradley is a junior finance major from PG County, Maryland, pursuing the Isenberg Real Estate Certificate. He is currently an Analyst with IREF and is interested in building a career in real estate private equity. This past summer, Bradley interned at Cerberus Capital Management, where he rotated across the firm’s real estate equity and debt teams and gained experience underwriting investments across multiple property types. Outside of academics and real estate, Bradley is a former Division I football player and enjoys golfing, working out, cooking, listening to music, and spending time with friends and family.

Vivian is a sophomore honors finance major from Newton, MA. She is currently in her second semester in IREF, serving as an Analyst and Secretary of the UMass Real Estate Club. This past summer, she interned at Equity Industrial Partners. Vivian is also a member of the UMass Club Soccer Team. In her free time, she enjoys running, baking, and spending time with her friends and family.

Elaina is a sophomore from Suffern, NY, pursuing a degree in finance and a certificate in real estate. She is currently in her second semester with IREF, where she serves as an Analyst. Elaina worked at Nova North Commercial, a brokerage firm, over the past summer. She is interested in pursuing a future career in real estate asset management. In her free time, she enjoys going to the beach, spending time with family and friends, and going on walks.
